the role

The Opportunity

Our Home Office role is built for agents who want to be surrounded by other people chasing the same goals.

You'll still spend weekends at race events meeting racers, generating leads, and building relationships. During the week, you'll work from our headquarters alongside leadership, underwriting, operations, and other sales professionals to quote business, follow up with prospects, and continue growing your book.

Unlike our remote opportunity, Home Office agents receive the majority of the company's inbound opportunities while continuing to build business through networking, referrals, and race events.

If you enjoy learning through collaboration, receiving real-time coaching, and working in an environment that pushes you to improve every day, this is where you'll thrive.

What You'll Actually Do

Your primary responsibility is building relationships within the motorsports community.

Most weekends you'll attend race events, walk the pits, meet racers and teams, answer questions, quote coverage, and generate new opportunities.

During the week you'll work from our Thibodaux office, following up with prospects, quoting business, binding policies, and continuing the relationships you started at the track.

You'll also receive inbound opportunities generated through our marketing efforts, giving you an additional source of business alongside your own prospecting.

What Success Looks Like

What Makes the Home Office Different

Working from our headquarters isn't just about having an office. It's about being immersed in an environment where learning happens every day.

You'll hear sales calls, share ideas, ask questions, work through objections together, celebrate wins, and learn from people who are solving the same challenges you're facing.

The pace is fast, expectations are high, and everyone is working toward the same goal. If you enjoy being challenged and improving every day, you'll fit in well.

What We Provide

Life in the Office

We believe the environment you work in matters. Our office is collaborative, competitive, and focused on continuous improvement. You'll work alongside people who enjoy sharing ideas, helping one another improve, and celebrating each other's success.

Outside the office, we regularly have team lunches, dinners, and company outings. We travel to industry events together, celebrate milestones together, and genuinely enjoy spending time with one another.

Growth Opportunities

As Laris Motorsports Insurance continues to grow, so do the opportunities within the company.

Home Office agents have greater day-to-day exposure to leadership and are often the first considered for expanded responsibilities as new positions become available.

That may include:

  • Sales leadership
  • Agent training and onboarding
  • Recruiting
  • Product development
  • Marketing initiatives
  • Operational projects
  • Management opportunities

If you're looking to build more than a sales career, this role provides opportunities to grow alongside the company.

Compensation

Your income grows as your book grows.

Compensation includes:

  • Commission on every new policy written
  • Ongoing renewal commission
  • Monthly production bonuses up to $2,000
  • Majority of company inbound opportunities
  • Long-term recurring income through your renewal book

There is no cap on your earning potential. Agents who consistently build relationships and stay engaged continue growing their income year after year.

Training

Every new agent begins with our in-person onboarding program before entering production.

Training includes:

  • Motorsports insurance products
  • Sales process and expectations
  • Working race events
  • Quoting and binding workflow
  • Internal systems and operational procedures

Learning doesn't stop after onboarding. Working from the Home Office means ongoing coaching, role-playing, collaboration, and immediate access to experienced teammates every day.

  • Looking to build a long-term career in insurance
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative office environment
  • Professional follow-up habits
  • Willingness to travel to race events throughout the year

Previous motorsports experience is helpful but not required. We'll teach you the products, the industry, and our process. What matters most is your willingness to learn, your work ethic, and your ability to consistently build relationships.

FAQ

Frequently Asked
Questions

Do I need racing experience?

No. We hire insurance professionals, not race car drivers. We provide training on our products, customers, and the motorsports industry.

How is this different from the remote role?

The biggest differences are your work environment and lead flow.

Home Office agents work alongside the team each day, receive the majority of company inbound opportunities, and benefit from more frequent coaching and collaboration while still attending race events and building their own book of business.

Will I still attend race events?

Yes. Race events are a core part of the role. You’ll regularly travel to events to meet racers, generate opportunities, and strengthen relationships within the motorsports community.

Is this a full-time position?

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, but we are looking for individuals who are committed to building a full-time career with us. Success comes from treating this as a profession, not a side business.
